5/5(39)So, for people with 500F/260C or slightly lower, I recommend aluminum. At 500F, 3/4" aluminum will produce that 4 minute bake. A LOT of European ovens max out at 250C. For those, I've been recommending 1" aluminum. The heat in steel plate can only travel so far during a 4 minute bake.
