For the best results, we recommend our carbon brake pads that ship with all rim brake FLO carbon wheels or Swiss Stop Black Prince pads. For our aluminum rims, any good alloy pad will work. Again, disc brakes are changing things. With a disc brake wheel, the rim material doesn't matter when it comes to braking performance.

My only negative - and I think this is a fact of life with Carbon clinchers - is significantly worse braking vs aluminum rims. My cross and MTB both have disc brakes, and the Zipp wheels on my TT bike have an aluminum track, so this is my first experience with carbon rim brakes.

From a numbers perspective, if you can run a FLO DISC on race day, there's no reason not to. And at $599, there's absolutely nothing in the price bracket that tests this fast, either.
