Feb 20, 2015 The aluminum gas block isn't necessarily a major safety concern, but to pretend that it's a suitable material based solely on the 'melting point' betrays a serious ignorance regarding the properties and behaviors of different metals under varying conditions such as heat, pressure, thermal stress, etc. An aluminum gas block WILL fail prematurely.

The Crook 5-slot “funny colored” rail fits there perfectly. Overall, the purpose of the bridge is to reinforce the rail.
