Eutectic alloy with excellent casting properties, excellent fluidity and high resistance to hot tearing. Good machinability. 1) Values given are only guideline values. This is the minimum value for separately cast bars with a thickness of 2.0 mm. Correct values can only be given by testing the whole component.
The copper is used for precipitation hardening (Al 2 Cu, Al 5 Mg 8 Cu 2 6), should that be necessary.Iron is to be avoided if possible, since it can form plate-like precipitates (Al 5 FeSi) which embrittle the casting and can block the flow of liquid metal in the mould. The strontium, when added delibrately, helps to modify the shape of the silicon, rather as does sodium.

Porous solids containing internal pores with sizes ranging from angstroms to nanometers are highly useful and valuable in the catalysis, separation, and storage of molecules because these materials provide large surface areas and void spaces for the interaction and adsorption of molecules. In particular, two-dimensional zeolites (2D, sometimes called layered zeolites) with
Bauxite is a naturally occurring, heterogeneous material composed primarily of one or more aluminum hydroxide minerals, plus various mixtures of silica, iron oxide, titania, aluminosilicate, and other impurities in minor or trace amounts. The principal aluminum hydroxide minerals found in varying proportions with bauxites are gibbsite and the polymorphs boehmite and diaspore.
6061 Aluminum Alloy (Al 6061-T6, 6061-T651, 6061-T4) Al-6061 aluminum alloy is a general purpose structural alloy developed by Alcoa in 1935. The temper designations mainly have 6061-T4, T451, Al 6061-T6, 6061-T651, etc. It is one of the most widely used alloys. The main alloying elements are magnesium (Mg) and silicon (Si).

Oct 01, 2018 We investigated the microstructures and mechanical properties of multiphase-reinforced in situ aluminum matrix composites (AMCs) prepared with various combinations and contents of Li, Mg, Si, Cu, Zn, Sn, and Ni. The area fractions of the secondary phases in the as-cast AMCs ranged from 26% to 58%, and the types of secondary phases depended on the
However, phosphorus addition has a negative effect on CuAl2 dissolution due to (i) its solubility in the CuAl2 phase particles, and (ii) the formation of (Al,P)O2 oxide particles which act as nucleation sites for the precipitation of the block-like CuAl2 phase.

Jul 14, 2019 Currently, the automotive industry has made great advances in the incorporation of materials such as carbon fiber in high-performance cars. One of the main problems of these vehicles is warming, which is generated inside due to the heat transfer produced by solar radiation falling on the car, mainly on the roof. This research proposes the preparation of a composite
