These is the same 1.5 solid aluminum links that come in our standard aluminum kit. However, the drag link will be installed over the knuckle for better linkage angles and keeps your drag link up out of harms way. This kit will included a drag link and a tie rod. Your steering linkage will come with our tried and true 1 ton tie rod ends.
5/5(9)The factory JK tie rod is made from a hollow thin-wall tube. The PROBLEM is that most aftermarket units are still made of steel which once bent will stay bent. Our tie rod is made with 1.5" SOLID 7075 aircraft aluminum. 7075 aluminum carries a memory to it. When it is bent, it pops back into place!

Jul 31, 2018 So, I have managed to bend another tie rod on my JK. This one was a Currie Correctlync setup. I hear that the Aluminum 7075 Tie rods will spring back into position so that sounds attractive and most have really HD ends, most have one tons. My current wheel setup is 17's with 4.75 backspace.

Sep 19, 2018 I have an 08 2 door Sahara and a 2.5" lift and Mickey Thompson wheels (4.5" of back spacing) and my tie rod ends are on their last legs. I'm looking to upgrade to a 1 ton aluminum steering kit, and they all seem to be about $500-$600. With the stabilizer clamp and after tax/shipping, Barnes is $500 and RPM is $600.

Aug 13, 2018 The JK tie rod is below the axle centerline and is pretty much in the line of fire. Without enough lift for high steer knuckles, there is not enough room to do a tie rod flip and it doesn't seem to get you much elevation. The vendors that sell aluminum tie rods claim that aluminum will spring back into shape where steel will bend.

Oct 22, 2018 As far as tie rods go, you'll find people on both sides, I personally run a Synergy Drag Link and a RPM Fab aluminum tie rod and it's great. Rammed into rocks and whatnot and always comes out straight. I also know that the Synergy tie rod is great as well, you wont be disappointed with either.
