It is quite a bit lighter than the 259 and with an aluminum intake, aluminum bellhousing, aluminum trans case, tubular headers, etc. it will be MUCH lighter. A 4.3 V6 is 262 cubic inches. Coincidently Chevy offered a 262 V8 in the late 70s.
