The filters are flat with a V cut out to shape around nose. To fit into place they must be bent and folded into place. There is a gap where the filter halves are joined. Light shines thru. In my opinion, a well fit 4 ply paper mask with an aluminum nose bridge offers far better protection. A great silicone seal is moot If the filter does not seal.

There is no metal in the nose bridge so it fits a bit loose and doesn't adhere right in the face. The material is a bit thin and it doesn't fit very well with the chin or the nose.
