Cast-iron blocks are manufactured from high-density iron, offered in both 4.00- and 4.125-inch (final machine) bore dimensions and include four-bolt main caps. You also have a choice of one- or two-piece rear main seals.
The basis of the build is a Dart cast-iron 351W block. The increase in displacement involves a cylinder bore diameter of 4.125 in. and a crank stroke of 4.000 in., coupled with 6.200-in. Scat rods and JE pistons. The Dart block replicates the original Ford 351W in terms of basic design and layout, but with several enhancements.
