These is the same 1.5 solid aluminum links that come in our standard aluminum kit. However, the drag link will be installed over the knuckle for better linkage angles and keeps your drag link up out of harms way. This kit will included a drag link and a tie rod. Your steering linkage will come with our tried and true 1 ton tie rod ends.

I bought Steersmarts trackbar, drag link, and aluminum tie rod. Two of them shipped immediately and the other about a week later. Installation was easy and adjustments for setup are ideal. I have had the parts on the Jeep for 3 weeks. I have not got a chance to test them in the dirt but on the pavement they handle better than stock. FYI.
Aug 13, 2018 The JK tie rod is below the axle centerline and is pretty much in the line of fire. Without enough lift for high steer knuckles, there is not enough room to do a tie rod flip and it doesn't seem to get you much elevation. The vendors that sell aluminum tie rods claim that aluminum will spring back into shape where steel will bend.
Feb 07, 2018 I ran a 1.75" aluminum tie rod with the barnes ends. It contacted my Teraflex diff cover slightly. The aluminum bar was a little too long at first and had no threads showing on the rod ends. The jam nuts self-clearanced my factory rims with I believe 1.5" spacers.

The factory JK tie rod is made from a hollow thin-wall tube. The problem with most aftermarket units is they are still made of steel which once bent will stay bent. Our tie rod and drag link are made with 1.5" SOLID 7075 aircraft aluminum. 7075 aluminum carries a memory to it. When it is bent, it pops back into place!

Jul 25, 2019 We have a 7075 1-3/4" Aluminum Adjuster tube coming out for the Tie Rod. It will utilize clamps that were designed specifically for the aluminum setup rather than relying on jam nuts. This will be available in the next month. The JL mounting location is not a great setup.
