Heavy metals and Parkinson's. A study from India has linked significantly increased blood levels of heavy metals with Parkinson's disease. The researchers tested 150 Parkinson's disease cases together with 170 healthy control subjects. The researchers conducted mass spectrometry with inductive coupling of the blood for these test subjects.
预计阅读时间:5 分钟Jun 06, 2018 Aluminum (Al) is widely found in the nature. Although the relation between Al and neurodegenerative diseases is still controversial, Al is related with many brain diseases including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis. Al exposure occurs mainly through environment, occupational, and dietary factors for humans.
Cited by: 58Aluminum salts may cause phosphorus depletion which is generally negligible. However, with prolonged administration or large doses, hypophosphatemia may occur, especially in patients with inadequate dietary intake of phosphorus; hypercalciuria secondary to bone resorption and increased intestinal absorption of calcium results. This phosphorus depletion syndrome is

The coupling of waves between the piezoelectric generators, detectors, and propagating media is challenging due to mismatch in the acoustic properties. The mismatch leads to the reverberation of waves within the transducer, heating, low signal-to-noise ratio, and signal distortion. Acoustic impedance matching increases the coupling largely. This article presents standard methods to

What are the health effects of aluminum in water? The total aluminum concentration in the human body is approximately 9 ppm (dry mass). In some organs, specifically the spleen, kidneys and lung, concentrations up to 100 ppm (dry mass) may be present. Daily aluminum intake is approximately 5 mg, of which only a small fraction is absorbed.

Feb 18, 2020 Piezoelectric nanomaterials have an important role in noninvasive neuronal stimulation, which is useful for treating neurological diseases (e.g., epilepsy, Parkinson's disease), since they bypass the risk of invasive procedures. Piezoelectric nanoparticles, can act as nanotransducers when stimulated by ultrasound.
