Topped with an aluminum high rise intake and a 750 CFM Holley carburetor, the 350 factory horsepower rated L79 engine made 346 HP @ 5,400 RPM and 383 lbs/ft of torque @ 3,900 RPM. While these numbers are impressive and in line with the factory HP rating, it is most likely more power than any factory L79 engine put out.

Jan 17, 2019 Not so much for really built engines. JMHO. The castings were junk zinc alloy. But the modern Holley, Quick Fuel in aluminum has far more available in parts and pieces along with easy adjustability/tuning. Holley, Quick Fuel has kept up with demands where as Edelbrock (AFB) and Q-jet (now obsolete) are still in 1966 - 1972 time period.
