One of the little tricks that I came across for getting a nice TIG weld is moving the TIG torch 1/3 the length of the puddle before you introduce your filler rod again. The weld I tried today is actually over Alumiweld rod from HF. Probably should have ground that out first, but it did have a good hold on the base material.
