ANDRITZ Sundwig provides customized slitting line solutions for all dimensions, from hot-rolled strip to thinnest, cold-rolled strip, from aluminum to stainless steel, in strip widths from 650 to 2,100 mm and strip thicknesses from 0.1 to 16.0 mm. Advanced and pioneering technologies are specially matched to the requirements of our customers.
Slitting Lines for automotive applications are especially designed to fulfil the surface quality needs and cutting precision and quality required by car manufacturers. The typical thickness range is 0,3-3 mm, but it goes up to 8 mm in the case of car structural steels. FIMI supplies also special applications to process strip, with thickness ...
Slitting. At Precision Strip, we strive to do the exceptional. Each processing line is unique and designed to meet specific requirements. This approach has given us the ability to slit material from .0019" gauge to .375" gauge and material types ranging from "0" Temper aluminum to Martinsite. Strip widths are as narrow as .25" up to 82".
An ASP slitting line will accommodate from 8” to 96” wide, 5 ton to 60-ton capacity coils and from .006” to 1.00” thick material. Depending on the material thickness and yield strength, speeds from 100 to 2,000 feet per minute can be obtained. The process begins with loading a coil of steel or master coil onto the uncoiler.
Aluminum sheets and strip for industrial applications and for the aeronautical industry are cut to the required shape on ANDRITZ cut-to-length lines. These lines can process coils or plates with a strip width of 2,850 mm, up to 24 m in length, and with strip thicknesses of 0.8-15 mm.
