Dec 11, 2021 Messages: 4. Hello, I had previous order R607710274. Powder coated black, aluminum skid plates front and rear. It came with 2 total spacer plates. I think I needed a total of 4 plates, 2 on each side as the plate seems to press a bit tight on the front differential.

May 31, 2019 It dented the plate and pushed it up to contact the oil pan. It took a sledge and many hits to move the dent away from the oil pan. My Beetle is a bit lower than stock so the skid plate was a must. I don't regret the decision at all. I just kept the plastic side skirts as they help to keep the road muck off the engine. Nov 19, 2021 As I don't have a physical plate to test weight from, I can give you an assumption, 3/16 aluminum front skid plate about 25 pounds 1/4 aluminum front skid plate about 35 pounds as for your brackets, they are shipping this week, I got a small batch of the black aluminum last night with more coming.
