Jul 20, 2019 With aluminum heads I was going to need to run a bit tighter than spec cold anyway, so I'll probably aim for on the side of 0.010" or a hair less when cold vs. the 0.022" when hot spec. That should put me something in the 0.014-0.017" hot range - that whole aluminum and steel expanding at different rates thing. That ought to be about right.
